From Countdown to Tranquility …
Every time I come across another blogger who retired early, in their 30’s especially, I feel envious. If only I had started earlier, if only I had bought a cheaper home, if only we hadn’t traveled so much, if only I had done everything differently… But the point is, it is all done. Even though we did everything we weren’t supposed to do, we are still in a good state. Retiring at 42 is still awesome. Maybe not as good as retiring at 32, but much much better than retiring at 65 or having to work past that.
We are all in different stages, financially. I know that some of you have retired, or partially retired, or at least financially independent. If you are there already, this post is not for you. (It is a great story, however!) This is for the rest of us, who are struggling to get there. And for the rest of us who are too overwhelmed to even start saving.
Today, I will tell you a story – Real people who started saving late.
