If you’re reading this, it means I’ve reached the end (or beginning?) of my FI journey. It means not only have I arrived at my ‘number’, I also feel confident enough to march into my boss’s office and submit my walking papers.
When I was well on my way to financial freedom, and starting to get comfortable with the idea of moving away from a desk job, I calculated when I would be able to quit. Originally, I was going ‘retire’ right before I turned 40. Should I live into my 70s, it meant a few decades of sweet freedom still lay ahead of me.
