The Retirement Manifesto

The Retirement Manifesto is a Plutus Award winner for Best Retirement blog and strives to “Help People Achieve A Great Retirement”.  The blog was started three years before our retirement and tracks our journey as we prepared for, transition into, and live a life of retirement.

My name is Fritz, and my wife Jackie and I live in a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia (near the start of the Appalachian Trail).  After 33 years in Corporate America, I retired in 2018 at the age of 55 and have been loving the retired life in the mountains.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy RV travel across the USA, hiking, fly fishing, exercise and daily walks with our four rescue dogs.  My wife started a non-profit focused on freeing dogs who live on chains, and I enjoy helping her run the charity organization.
